Handcrafted, locally foraged, deliciously infused gin.

About Us

I grew up in the countryside around Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland and have always loved the smells and tastes the countryside has to offer, and now years later, I have that same affinity to my ‘adopted’ home town – Wigan.

Sundays are great for long walks strolling by canal tow paths to Crooke Village, Parbold and beyond. But mostly walks tend to navigate towards Haigh Plantations and its surrounding countryside. This lends itself to my keen interest in gardening, as I am always on the look out for how plants and trees change over the seasons and what I can forage… and that’s how it all began.

It’s been great fun working on recipes which is where a lot of time is spent; imagining what you will need, looking around where you will find the botanicals, how they will react with one another and finally what it will taste like.

Once the taste was perfected this venture quickly grew into a family affair. My wife designs and creates all the bottle labels, promotional materials and the photography. My two daughters are very creative and help out with social media.

Everything we do is handmade by us.

The Paddock, Derby House

A divine addition to The Swinley gin bar that has been well received by all who have tasted it. A gin handcrafted in Wigan, Touch Lucky is a pleasant experience thanks to its use of locally sourced ingredients, with its citrus notes and hint of a floral bouquet, enjoy neat or use tonic sparingly so as not to lose its subtle notes.
